Canora resident graduates from Parkland College Electrician program

Parkland College’s Electrician class of 2016 graduated on July 21 in Esterhazy.             At Parkland College’s completion ceremony on July 21 in Esterhazy, James Park was one of the students celebrated for graduating the electrician program.

            The completion ceremony marked the end of training for Park and his classmates, and the students will be moving on to work placements in Yorkton, Esterhazy, and other communities in the region.

            The graduates also included Eddie Schramm, Dalen Whitehawk, Vinil D’Cruz, Carter Flasch, and Austin Lungal of Yorkton; Jonathon Marchand and Donney Mei of Ezterhazy; Adam Byczynski of Bredenbury; Nathan Thompson of Saltcoats; Jaiden Shopland of Rocanville; and Zachary Zentner of Dropmore, Man..

            The electrician program is a one-year applied certificate program from Sask Polytech, and was funded in part by the International Minerals Innovation Institute in Saskatoon. Another electrician program is scheduled to start in February 2017 at Parkland College's Esterhazy Campus.
