The members of the River Ridge Fish and Game Club had a troubling sight in July when they discovered a picnic table at the Bighorn site in Gorlitz had been vandalized.
The green picnic table was found July 19, torn from its usual position and left a few feet away. The bars which held it in place were badly bent. Kathy Thomas, member of the River Ridge Fish and Game Club, believes someone attached a chain to the picnic table to try to pull it free.
The Gorlitz Bighorn site has been an attraction for tourists and travellers to enjoy and rest at since the mid-1980s. The antlers displayed at the site are in the Guinness World Record database for the largest antlers.
