Quentin Weinbender of Canora Weaving and Manufacturing attended the meeting to discuss with council the proposed changes to the back lane at Gateway Co-op, adjacent to Canora Weaving property.

Council set the water and/or sewer line excavation and installation rate at $160 per foot plus material costs, effective January 1.

Council agree to reimburse Michael Mykytyshyn, chief administration officer, the $250 application fee for his Advanced Level 2 certificate of qualification from Urban Municipal Administrators Association of Saskatchewan (UMAAS.)

Council authorized salary increases of 1.8 per cent in 2019, 1.8 per cent in 2020 and 1.8 per cent in 2021 for the following positions under the 2018 Management Salary Policy: chief administrative officer, administrative assistant, community development officer, leisure services director, and swimming pool manager.

Council rescheduled its January meetings from January 1 and 15 to January 8 and 22. Council tabled the request of Jeffery Hill for compensation related to damage to his tire rim after his vehicle struck the concrete median on Railway Avenue on December 6.

Council tabled the offer from Jean Kobelka to voluntarily transfer the title for the property at 201 Main Street to the Town of Canora.

A bylaw to amend the traffic bylaw was introduced, read three times and adopted.
