With a decade-and-a-half of bringing their special blend of Gypsy jazz and revised cover songs to audiences, the four-member group have made a name for themselves on the music scene. Group members include: Christine Tassan, Martine Gaumond, Blanche Baillargeon and Jeff Moseley.

From covers to original compositions, the arrangements of these musical pioneers innovate, dust off, and give way to the unbridled creativity of four experienced musicians, stated information from the band’s website.

The group's reputation is well established; with more than 600 indoor and festival shows, including multiple performances in major events and several pan-Canadian, European and American tours, it has known, since its foundation in 2003, gained the esteem and loyalty of an ever growing audience. We have thus seen Christine Tassan and the Impostors at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Lévis Jazz Festival, the Rouyn-Noranda Guitar Festival, the April in Paris festival in Vancouver and the Déferlantes Atlantiques in St-Pierre-et -Miquelon; twice, their show was recorded and broadcast by CBC as part of the “Concerts on demand” in Montreal and Saskatoon, continued the information. Over time, they shared the stages with the gypsy jazz greats, including John Jorgenson, Tchavolo Schmit, Angelo Debarre, Rodolphe Raffalli and David Reindhart.

Their first three discs, De bon matin (2007), Pas manouche, c'est louche (2010) and C'est heure du apéro (2012) were highly successful. From the first weeks of its release, De bon matin was ranked among Radio-Canada's Favorite picks and took first place in Radio Color Jazz's top 4. Pas manouche, c'est louche won the honor of a nomination at ADISQ in the category best jazz creation album, with recognized artists such as Jordan Officer, Julie Lamontagne and Christine Jensen. It's Cocktail Hour meanwhile won an Opus Prize nomination in the “jazz and world music” category.

The album also marked a turning point in the career of Les Imposteures. The eponymous show has indeed traveled from east to west in Canada, multiplying important tours in the Maritime provinces, in British Columbia and Alberta in front of obviously won over English-speaking audiences. They created an international version of the show, "Django, Félix and Friends", and released in February 2017 a complementary album, entitled Django and Friends. With these last two shows, they continue to travel the world again and again.
