Sunrise Health Region employees in Canora recognized

The Sunrise Health Region Canora Employee Recognition Awards night, which recognized the continuous service of employees and contribution of those who are retiring, was held at Raymond’s Family Restaurant on May 25.

At the evening program, Leanne Buchinski, Canora Gateway Lodge health services manager, acted as mistress of ceremonies for the evening.

Guests from the Sunrise Health Region included: Sandi Tokaruk, vice-president of Integrated Primary Health Services; Roberta Wiwcharuk, vice-president of Integrated Health Services, and Joanne Bodnar, Director of North Health Services.

A DVD presentation brought greetings and congratulations from Suann Laurent, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Troy MacNaughton, who had spent 12 years in Nashville pursuing his passion for country and gospel music, provided entertainment for the evening. MacNaughton just recently returned from Nashville having recorded another CD.

Service awards were presented by Jennifer Richardson , Canora Hospital Health Services Manager; Elizabeth Palchewich , Canora Hospital acting nurse administrator; Mary Jean Vogel, primary health care manager (rural); Leanne Buchinski, Canora Gateway Lodge Health Services Manager, and Gail Parsons, Canora Home Care Manager.

Canora recipients who completed five years of service were: Megan MacPherson , Karen Murphy, Michelle Rhodes, Jennifer Richardson and Lori Vogel.

Receiving awards for 10 years of service were: Jocelyn Anaka, Tammy Bobyk and Amanda Keller.

Recognized for 15 years of service were: Hazel Nelson, Lesley Parnetta and Tracey Penner.

Receiving awards for 20 years of service were Gloria Korchinski, April Makowsky and Linda Trach.

Recognized for 25 years of service were Iris Dul, Gail Parsons and Laurie Tiechko.

Donna McCormick received recognition for 30 years of service and Marge Areshenko received recognition for 40 years of service. Received recognition for 45 years of service was Dianne Kotyk.

Retirees who were honoured included Lillian Grywacheski , Holly Hudye, Carol Sill and Laurie Tiechko.
