Town Council accepts property maintenance proposal and donates to Health Foundation

A proposal to provide property maintenance services and a contribution to the Health Foundation for the purchase of new medical equipment were among the items of concern to town council at its regular meeting on February 12.

A proposal to provide property maintenance services and a contribution to the Health Foundation for the purchase of new medical equipment were among the items of concern to town council at its regular meeting on February 12.

Council accepted the proposal of Doreen Scherban to provide maintenance services under the nuisance bylaw at a rate of $20 per hour for 2019.                 

Council agreed to contribute $4,250 to the Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan for the purchase of a new hematology analyzer for Canora Hospital.

Council authorized Robert Taylor and Roger Sabiston (labourers) to attend chainsaw safety training through Hayes Training and Development Group on April 30 in Canora.

Council authorized the creation of a full-time labourer position/classification specific to parks and facilities and the issuing of notification to CUPE Local No. 4438.

A bylaw to enter into a lease agreement with Canora Golf and Country Club was introduced, read three times and adopted.

A bylaw to enter into a Civic Centre concession agreement was introduced, read three times and adapted.
