Town Council discusses code of ethics, authorizes members to attend SUMA meeting

Council authorized newly-elected Mayor Jim Vewchar and Councillors Brad Gabora, Kerry Trask and Eric Sweeney to attend the SUMA East Central regional meeting to be held October 9 in Yorkton.

Council went in camera to discuss matters under the council code of ethics.

Council authorized Aaron Herriges, leisure services director, to attend the rec practitioners’ meeting to be held October 10 in Yorkton.

Council authorized Courtney Bourassa, administrative assistant, to attend the ISC/LAFOIP (Information Services Corporation/Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act) workshop to be held October 17 in Yorkton.

A bylaw to amend the zoning bylaw was introduced and read a first time.
