Council suspended its regular meeting and opened a public hearing regarding an amendment to the zoning bylaw. After no personal or written representations were received, council closed the public hearing regarding an amendment to the zoning bylaw and resumed its regular meeting.

After being introduced and read a first time at the August 21 council meeting, a bylaw to amend the zoning bylaw was read a second and third time and adopted.

A bylaw to enter into an ice maintenance and janitorial contract was introduced, read three times and adopted.

Council awarded the 2018-2019 Civic Centre concession contract to 3G Catering at a rental rate of $300 per month plus GST.

Council accepted the resignation of Randy Molyneaux, Emergency Measures Organization (EMO) co-ordinator, effective immediately.
