Trakkers snowmobile derby continues growth

The 31 st annual Trakkers Snowclub Public and Family Derbywas held on February 17 in Canora. A total of 84 registered snowmobile riders took part in the event, a significant boost over the 60 riders in the 2018 derby.

Dave Knox, Trakkers president, was pleased with the turnout, and said the derby attracted riders from Alberta and many regions of Saskatchewan, including Moose Jaw, Regina and Saskatoon.

Knox said he hopes interest in snowmobiling will continue to grow in Canora and the surrounding area, and looks forward to potentially exceeding 100 riders for the 2020 event.
